Your Experience: I am a recent widow filing for benefits. After calling the ssa 800 # & waitin on the telephone for 45 min I made an appointment for monday afternoon to file on the phone. A ms. Hernandez called at 10:30 am & I answered some questions & she told me I will call you tomorrow (tuesday) before 9 am. I have not heard from her since. I have no way of getting in touch with her.
I am grieving my deceased husband & this does not make it any easier.
