I’d like to make an appointment at my local social security office
Q) I’d like to make an appointment at my local social security office. My mother recently passed and I like to put that on file.
A) I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I can definitely help you make an appointment at your local Social Security office.
To make an appointment, you can call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Alternatively, you can visit their website at www.ssa.gov and use the “Find an Office” tool to locate your local office and schedule an appointment online.
During your appointment, you will need to bring some documents with you, including your mother’s death certificate and your own identification. The Social Security Administration will use this information to update your records and provide any benefits you may be eligible for.
I hope this information helps you, and please accept my condolences for your loss. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
If you you need to to schedule or reschedule or cancel a social security office appointment Call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) between 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
when are offices going to reopen to public after being closed for 2 years. and appointment only is a lie. you’re only making appointments for applicant’s requesting new social security cards a/k/a immigration – and this is a fact – why not announce it on your page but only by telephone? had to send original documents in mail – couldn’t even schedule an appointment to drop off or pick up my son’s replacement card. A BIG DAMN LIE – MY SON STILL HASN’T RECEIVED HIS REPLACEMENT CARD, STILL CAN’T GET HIS DRIVER’S LICENSE AND NOW – WILL HAVE TO TAKE HIS TEST OVER AGAIN – WHY? BECAUSE THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT ANYMORE
