However, these companies offer no advantage and you will have to provide documents directly to Social Security. Be cautious about giving your private information, especially your Social Security number, to anyone.

  1. Can I apply for a replacement social security card online? I have the form filled out and signed, can I fax it to my local social security office or do I need to make an appointment?
