I’m disabled I receive SSA benefits if my children’s dad is also disabled is my child eligible to receive benefits

Q) I’m disabled I receive SSA benefits if my children’s dad is also disabled is my child eligible to receive benefits

A) With both you and your child’s dad being disabled it can be very difficult emotionally financially. The Social Security Administration does provides financial disability benefits in cases when a disability disrupts the ability of an individual to work and support their family. Depending on the type of Social Security benefit you both receive, your children may also be eligible for Social Security monthly benefits, based on a percentage of the amount of money that you are both awarded. Please set an appointment with your local Social Security office and speak with a counselor.
