What is the qualification for collecting under a spouses Social Security

Q) What is the qualification for collecting under a spouses SS until I am of full retirement age. I am 62 and would like to collect on his until I qualify. What are the steps I need to do and will this effect my qualifications. My husband is collecting ss now. I am not.

A) According to Social Security Administration – Even if you have never worked under Social Security, you may be able to get spouse’s retirement benefits if you are at least 62 years of age and your spouse is receiving retirement or disability benefits. You can also qualify for Medicare at age 65. http://www.ssa.gov/retire2/applying6.htm
